NeXus Arts @ Drogheda Arts Festival 2012
In its third year as part of the Drogheda Arts Festival, Nexus Arts explored the concept of urban structures that facilitate our lives and determine our environment.
In this vein, we invited Dee Walsh to exhibit a solo show called “Concrete Abstractions” in our pop-up gallery. Her work is an examination of the infrastructures and geometry of the built environment which results in stunning large scale images.
In conjunction with the gallery, we had several exciting activities street side, one of which was a community based artwork in which a group of teenagers made 2 large scale action paintings based on the idea of “Painting the Town Red”.
